U.K. synthpop icons Depeche Mode have officially begun their 2023 Memento Mori World Tour, kicking things off on Thursday night, March 23, at the Golden 1 Center in Sacramento, California -- their first concert stateside in almost five years.

Depeche Mode gave fans a set packed with long-time favorites including “Walking In My Shoes,” “Stripped,” ”I Feel You,” “Wrong,” “Personal Jesus,” "Everything Counts," and "World in My Eyes" -- the latter dedicated to band member Andy Fletcher who passed in 2022 -- as well as choice selections from their latest collection, Memento Mori, the group’s 15th studio album released just a day prior on March 22.
