NEW YORK (WCBS 880) -- The suspect in the October attack on "Ghostbusters" and "Honey I Shrunk the Kids" actor Rick Moranis on the Upper West Side has been arrested, the NYPD announced Saturday.

"Thanks to an eagle-eyed sergeant from @NYPDTransit, this suspect has been apprehended and charged," the NYPD tweeted.

Police said the suspect is 35-year-old Marquis Ventura, who they believe is homeless. He was charged with assault.

Moranis was walking on Central Park West, near W. 70th Street, around 7:20 a.m. on Oct. 1 when a man came up to him and punched him with a closed fist, knocking him to the ground.
