First things first, for those who don’t know, TikTok’s #PassThePhone Challenge is the internet’s latest shame. The trend has people introducing their friends and family members by what they deem as their their least appealing qualities and passing the phone to said person to berate them just as equally.

Here's how it's done. You record a clip of yourself saying “I'm passing the phone to the person who [insert unsavory thing here].” And that individual does the same thing, the criticisms can then go back and forth, or if there are more than two participants, in whichever rude and demeaning order they so choose.

It was initially suggested the person you're passing the phone to doesn't hear what you say about them and vice versa, but that didn’t last long.

Also not down with every aspect of the suggested trend, completely flipping it upside down are Ciara, Vanessa Bryant her daughter Natalia, La La Anthony and her son Kiyan, who put a positive spin on the challenge, hopefully inspiring more to do the same. Maintaining “passing the phone," and that's about it, the group proceeded to shower each other with compliments and uplifting comments.

Starting with Kiyan, who passed the phone to Natalia or as he put it “America’s newest supermodel.” Natalia then passed the phone to “the person with the best style,” who just so happened to be her mom, Vanessa, who adorably messed up the intro saying, “Sending the phone to the biggest hype woman and my ride or die,” before blowing a kiss to the camera and the recipient of the title, La La. La La then passed the phone “to the best dancer in the entire universe,” which to absolutely no ones surprise was Ciara, who passed the phone “to the fiercest mama I know,” aka Vanessa.

They continued on for another round, but you get it, and if you’re like us, you’re very much here for it. If this is the new concept, then we’re down for this trend to stay, otherwise… see ya.
