More Than 200 Students Stuck In Snowstorm Sleep Over At Their Schools

By Meredith Ganzman

Students stuck in the snow storm had an unexpected slumber party at their school! Roads in New Jersey closed and busses were unable to give kids a ride home.

So more than 200 students had to sleep at their West Orange schools. Eight of the district's schools, including a preschool were affected. But most were at Liberty Middle School.

About 25 teachers chaperoned the sleepover. Students watched movies and were all fed. There was even a very late gym class of basketball games.

Students slept on gym matts, and teachers began serving breakfast at 5:30 am!

By 9:30 all the students had made their way home. The district is closed today. So everyone can enjoy an actual snow day, after their crazy snowy night.
