While Halloween may be known as the candy holiday, Easter brings plenty of sweet treats as well!
In addition to Peeps, the top holiday candy includes a Cadbury Creme Egg.

But did you know you can sweeten the deal by deep frying them? A video recipe posted by Steve's Kitchen gives you the play-by-play on how to make this treat with a souther twist.
According to Southern Thing, the batter ingredients include all-purpose flour, whole milk, baking soda, an actual egg, nutmeg, and oil. You unwrap a Cadbury Creme egg and coat it with the mixture before dumping it into hot oil.

While many were intrigued by the viral treat, some felt it might be a little too indulgent for their bodies. Either way, it’s likely only a matter of time before someone brings this recipe to the next state fair.
Will this recipe become your new Easter staple? If you're willing to give it a whirl this year, don't forget to buy your Cadbury Creme Eggs right here!
