What better way to celebrate the nation's independence than by traveling to see the sites this country has to offer.
AAA put together a list of the top 10 destination cities for the 4th of July and as you might expect, cities with mouse ears top the list.
Theme parks are always a fun getaway and this year Orlando, FL, which has both Disney World and Universal, and Anaheim, CA, home to Disneyland, top the list at numbers 1 and 2, respectively.
Finishing out the top 10 are:
3. Denver, CO
4. Las Vegas, NV
5. Seattle, WA
6. Chicago, IL
7. New York, NY
8. Atlanta, GA
9. Boston, MA
10. Kahului, Maui, HI
AAA based their list on advanced travel bookings for the holiday weekend.
They expects more than 47 million Americans to travel from July 1-5.
