A volcanic eruption in the South Pacific has caused a tsunami on Tonga's largest island, Tongatapu, and has lead to warnings across the U.S. West Coast on Saturday morning.
According to CNN, a tsunami advisory is now in effect for the states of California, Oregon, Washington and Alaska.
The Pacific Tsunami Warning also alerted of a tsunami advisory for Hawaii.
"PTWC has issued a Tsunami Advisory for Hawaii," read the tweet. "A tsunami is currently being observed by all Islands' Emergency Management. We are relieved that there is no reported damage and only minor flooding through-out the islands."

The National Weather Service also advised to stay away from the coast at this time as it is considered hazardous to swimmers and boaters.
