As soon as Josh Gordon became available, everyone's first thought was the New England Patriots. That's just what they do. They went out and traded for Gordon for only a 5th round pick. With Gordon on one side, Chris Hogan on the other, and Rob Gronkowski up the middle, Tom Brady is salivating. The Lions defense will not be on Sunday in primetime.

The Jaguars defense handed it to the Patriots last week. With Gordon now in the fold, that makes this Patriots offense so much more dynamic if he can stay on the field and out of trouble. Brady has so many options and will have another in a few weeks in Julian Edelman. They will likely make up for their poor showing last week with a ton of points in the dome in Detroit against a team that just isn't that good.
The Lions fought hard to make things interesting last week in San Francisco but ultimately fell short, 30-27. They are off to an 0-2 start and have had plenty of doubters. A win over the Patriots would help in silencing them, but it just doesn't seem like it could happen...especially with the Pats coming off a loss. They almost never lose in those situations. Matthew Stafford has got to avoid throwing picks if the Lions want to make this game interesting.
