Losing a Super Bowl is a tough experience.
Losing a Super Bowl to a 12-point underdog is even worse. Losing a Super Bowl to a 12-point underdog after winning 18 consecutive games is incredibly difficult to stomach. Losing a Super Bowl to that same opponent four years later is almost unimaginable.
But joining forces with that team after partaking in a rivalry that has raged on for more than a decade? Impossible… or is it?
2019 Giants rookie Daniel Jones had a solid debut season, tossing 24 touchdowns and 12 interceptions en route to a 3-9 starting record. His cast of offensive weapons was often hurt and the defense was problematic throughout the season. So, all things considered, New York should be pretty happy with their first round draft pick’s career outlook.
That said, Jones still has a lot to learn. His decision-making was faulty at times; just take a look at these stats and this throw he attempted to force against the Packers, courtesy of Rotoworld’s Hayden Winks.
Though there’s a lot of good with Danny Dimes, the above display is something fans of the G-Men would love to see fixed sooner rather than later. Eli Manning is no longer available as a source of guidance, inspiration and training for the young Duke alum. Could the Giants bring in a veteran to help iron out his issues and assist in his development while providing as a high-caliber starting option?
In this episode of “Into The Bradyverse”, Tiki Barber walks us through a world where Brady gets signed by New York and narrates how the season would unfold.
