Richmond, Va. (Newsradiowrva.com) - Some Virginia health districts, primarily in northern and western Virginia, have begun to move into the next phase of Covid vaccine distribution. Those districts have moved into Phase 1b, which includes police, firemen, grocery store workers, and teachers.
Dr. Danny Avula, the newly appointed Virginia Vaccine Coordinator, as well as Richmond Health District Director, says he expects central Virgnia to move to Phase 1b next week. He says different demographics are responsible for some areas moving faster than others. For example, some western districts have fewer health care workers, while central Virginia has a large number.
