Richmond, Va. (Newsradiowrva.com) - In an expected vote, the Virginia High School League voted to move fall sports to late winter and early spring, as a result of the coronavirus pandemic.  The vote means the first sports will be played in mid-December, with the traditional winter sports.

Many school districts, including most locally, are starting the year virtually as is.  Sports have not been played since March, when school was closed because of the outbreak.

Other states have also pushed their fall sports to spring.
