Richmond, Va. (NewsradioWRVA.com) - One of the men named by Richmond Police in an alleged mass shooting plot pleads guilty to an unrelated charge.
The charge that Rolman Balcarcel was pleading guilty to in Richmond Federal Court is illegal entry in the United States. Prosecutors had said that he has been deported twice before.
He'll be sentenced for this charge later this year and it could mean that he's deported a third time.
He, along with Julio Alvarado-Dubon, has been accused by Richmond Police Chief Gerald Smith of planning a mass shooting on Independence Day at Dogwood Dell. Neither men face any charge related to that.
