Henrico County, Va. (Newsradiowrva.com) - Henrico Police Chief Eric English gave brief comments on Wednesday afternoon after the case against a Henrico officer was dismissed.

Officer Timothy Million had been charged with voluntary manslaughter after allegedly shooting and killing Tony Singleton, 54, of Norfolk while responding to single-vehicle crash on I-64. The judge dismissed the case after only three of a planned five days of trial based on lack of evidence.

Chief English said the case's dismissal was a relief to the department, but that they were still engaging in an internal review of the incident. English suggested that the body cam footage was somewhat difficult to make sense of, but that the department stood by Million and intended to make transparency a priority. Million is currently on paid leave from the department
