Richmond, Va. (Newsradiowrva.com) - Drone Company DroneUp has announced an expansion that will lead to over 600 jobs in the Commonwealth. Most of the employment will be tied to the expansion of their headquarters in Virginia Beach, but DroneUp is also creating nearly 150 jobs in Dinnwiddie/Petersburg by setting up a research and testing center at Richard Bland College.

DroneUp is receiving five million in grants, and is investing over $27 itself in the expansion. They are also planning to establish three drone hubs at Walmart locations in Virginia this year. It's part of an agreement to provide drone delivery with Walmart.
