James City County, Va. (Newsradiowrva.com) - A Henrico Police Officer is being held at the Penisula Regional Jail, after being accused of assault, credit card theft, and abduction. James City Police say Officer Robert Swift's wife accused him of hitting her, and during the process of the investigation, also alleged on two occassions that he would not let her leave her room or car.
James City County Police say the woman did have a cut inside her mouth. Swift was arrested on the job in Henrico on Wednesday.
Henrico Police say they are monitoring the situation and are reviewing things internally as well.
