Chesterfield County, Va. (Newsradiowrva.com) - Chesterfield County Police are investigating a shooting that took place on Monday evening. At about 7:51 PM, police responded to reports of a shooting at the 7300 block of Hancock Towns Lane. There they discovered an adult male suffering from several apparently life-threatening gunshot wounds. The man was transported to a local hospital and police investigation is ongoing, though no arrests have yet been made.

WTVR's John Burkett reported that a witness on the scene says they heard their neighbor shout "don't shoot," then saw that neighbor jump from a third-story balcony as shots were fired. As the witness tended to their neighbor, they saw two men flee from the complex.
