Richmond, Va. (Newsradiowrva.com) - For the first time since her arraignment last month, a Goochland woman accused of filing four false reports of assault at VCU’s Monroe Park Campus had a court appearance.
Samantha Hudler’s next court appearance is in October.
Her recent court appearance comes within a week of another individual admitting to lying about a crime at VCU. That suspect is a 20-year-old man from Glen Allen. He has been charged with a misdemeanor after admitting to police that an armed robbery report from last Wednesday was fabricated.
“The entire judicial system depends on truth,” Stone said. “If people are not telling the truth, then that’s when the system can make mistakes,” Legal Analyst Russ Stone told our partners at 8News.
