State Police Investigating Interstate Shootings

Richmond, Va. (Newsradiowrva.com) - Virginia State Police are investigating what they say are two separate shootings along area interstates Tuesday night and Wednesday morning. One person was wounded in the second shooting, which took place along I-95 South and Route 10 in Chesterfield.

The first shooting happened just before 9pm Tuesday evening along I-195 in the city of Richmond. A woman driving near Cary Street says she heard a loud noise, and then found three bullet holes in her car.

The second shooting is the one in Chesterfield, which happened around 12:45am. Police say a passenger was hit in the arm and she was taken to John Randolph Medical Center. Two bullet holes and a shattered window were found on the car.

Police believe both shooters were in other vehicles. They do not have suspect vehicles at this time. They also are treating both as separate incidents for the time being.
