Two People Facing Charges After Four People Shot on Virginia State University Campus

Ettrick, Va. (Newsradiowrva.com) - Twenty-one-year-olds Xavier Gordon and Clyde White are facing charges after a shooting at Virginia State University left four people injured Wednesday.

According to the Chesterfield County Police Department, at 12:36 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 14, officers with the department responded to a reported shooting on Boisseau Street outside Daniel Gymnasium on the university’s campus.


Gordon and White were arrested at the scene and have both been charged with brandishing a firearm. Gordon was also charged with carrying a concealed weapon without a permit.

Police say neither are VSU students. It’s not yet known whether Gordon or White knew any of the victims. All four victims are expected to survive.

This is the third shooting to take place on VSU’s campus in the last year.
