Richmond, Va. (Newsradiowrva.com) - Some Virginians may soon be receiving a text or call from the Virginia Department of Health. The Department is calling people in its records who are eligible but have not received a booster shot to remind them to get one.

If the contact is a text, it will include a link to make an appointment. However, VDH stresses you do not need to wait for the text to get the shot. Some people may have already been contacted.

The department also wants people who receive the notice in error to contact them so they can update their records.
