Tis' the season! The holidays are upon us, so here's a list of some of the holiday events happening in the area to help get you and your family into the holiday spirit!

November 18, 2021 - January 1, 2022

Illuminations | 5:20 – 7:30 p.m. | In addition to all the traditional favorites, two new displays premiere this year at Illuminations. The Children’s Garden Meadow and the Koch Carousel Gardens each feature over-the-top displays that are sure to warm your spirit!

Now through Dec. 31.

Holly Jolly Jurassic Holiday | 4 – 9 p.m. | Experience the scenic trails in a whole new way at Field Station Dinosaurs in Derby. The event features thousands of Christmas lights, festive & funny decorations, and the world’s most unexpected holiday guests – the dinosaurs!

Nov. 26-27, Dec. 3-4, Dec. 10-11, Dec. 17-19.

Watson’s Christmas Express | 4 – 9 p.m. | Enjoy Watson’s Christmas Express! You can choose to purchase your tickets early with VIP Pass or show up the day of and purchase General Admission at the park. The VIP Pass includes a reading of Chris Van Allsburg’s The Polar Express and is followed by a craft and train ride to visit the North Pole. Enjoy s’mores and hot chocolate at the campfire circle, while singing holiday songs. Kids are encouraged to wear pajamas. An adult must also attend and register. $16 per person. Bradley Fair Tree Lighting Ceremony | 5 – 6 p.m. | Enjoy complimentary horse-drawn carriage rides from 1 - 10 p.m., live entertainment throughout the day followed by the Tree Lighting Ceremony beginning at 5 p.m.

Saturday, December 11

Winter Wonderland at Naftzger Park | 5:20 – 7:30 p.m. | Winter Wonderland begins with Mayor Brandon Whipple lighting the famous Mayor’s Tree at 5:20 p.m. Then, roast s’more by one of the fire pits. Visit with Santa and Mrs. Clause and have your photo taken. Watch out for the Grinch, he’ll be lurking about the park. Drink hot cocoa and listen to holiday music. Play corn hole with the family. This event is free to the public.

Saturday, Dec 11th from 6-11p

Candy Cane Lane...
Located in the 1017 N. Azure Cir., Candy Cane Lane is an annual fundraiser for the Wichita Children's Home! Cash and new toys accepted. Swing by and see all the decorations and help bring cheer to the children who are away from their families this year.
