Ohio developing centralized, statewide system for COVID-19 vaccine signup

COVID-19 Vaccine

Finally! Help is on the way Ohio!

The state is working on a centralized website that Ohioans can use to schedule a vaccine, Gov. Mike DeWine announced Tuesday afternoon.

On the website, people will type in their ZIP code and, and pull up appointments within 20 miles of their location. The site is not live yet, however it's ready to go, they are just waiting to get providers on to it.

Hospitals, pharmacies, clinics and other providers contracted with private companies to handle the scheduling, and “it will take them some time to transition from those systems into the state portal,” Ohio Gov. Dewine said.

One the system is up and running scheduling a vaccine will become much, much easier and be a great relief to those in need.
