Much like her character in "Don't Look Up," Jennifer Lawrence is hitting the press trail.
It’s a star-studded comedy, but while sitting down for a chat on “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert,” Lawrence named two stars from the movie -- Leonardo DiCaprio and Timothée Chalamet -- who made one day of filming “the most annoying day” in her life.
The story had something to do with being stuck in a car with the two actors.
“I don't know what it was,” Lawrence said to Colbert. “Timothée was just excited to be out of the house. I think it was, like, his first scene. And Leo had picked the song that was playing in the car and was just, like, ‘You know, this song was about, you know, blah, blah, blah.’ I just remember being in absolute misery that day, It was hell.”
Though Lawrence called that interaction her "most annoying day," Lawrence has made it clear that the fact that DiCaprio was paid more than his co-lead star doesn't bother her. When it came up in a recent Vanity Fair interview, Lawrence stated flatly, "Look, Leo brings in more box office than I do. I'm extremely fortunate and happy with my deal."
She certainly didn’t look annoyed when she hit the premiere red carpet for
"Don’t Look Up" last weekend, as she strolled along in an amazing gold gown, big smile above her baby bump, and posing with DiCaprio. So whatever the annoyance, it seems water under the bridge.
“Don’t Look Back” is a sort of mini-comeback for “The Hunger Games” star. While she did appear in the 2019 feature, “Dark Phoenix,” for the most part Lawrence has taken a break from acting since 2018 to get married to husband Cooke Maroney, with whom she is now expecting.
“I just think everybody had gotten sick of me,” she told Vanity Fair. “I’d gotten sick of me.”
