Yordan Alvarez homered twice and Framber Valdez carried a no-hitter into the seventh inning to lead the Astros over the Minnesota Twins 5-2 on Saturday.
The win improved the Astros' record to 26-33 on the season with a rubber match set for Sunday afternoon.
Houston also saw home runs from Kyle Tucker and the Jose Abreu, his first of the season.
Bryan Abreu pitched the eighth inning for the Astros and gave up a run. Josh Hader closed it out in the ninth to pick up his eighth save of the season.
Center fielder Jake Meyers also had an incredible catch at the wall to rob Byron Buxton of a home run.
Hunter Brown (1-5, 6.39 ERA) takes the mound for Houston on Sunday. Woods Richardson (2-0, 2.70 ERA) will pitch for Minnesota.
