A new study, conducted by Oregon State, reveals that working out once for a full hour will help you to burn more calories for two full days. The study followed people who do not work out and tend to lead a sedentary lifestyle.
Each person who participated in the study rode a stationary bike for one hour. From there they tested the mitochondrion - the power house of the cell (shout out to public school). The scientists confirmed that well after the work outs were completed people were still burning over 10% more calories than when they weren't working out.
The study is the first to show that even adding a little exercise into your routine can go a long way.
