Some beloved Sin City crime fighters are back to save the day.
After previously announcing the revival of its original forensics hit "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation” with the launch of a new sequel series, CBS has now gifted fans with a first look at “CSI: Vegas.”

The new edition includes the return of original stars William Petersen as Gil Grissom and Jorja Fox as Sara Sidle.
The teaser clip keeps it mysterious but includes shots of the fan-favorite characters uncovering the truth behind violent crimes as Detective Grissom narrates the voiceover.

"In my experience, science will tell us if how things look is how they really are," he says as a montage of the team flashes on screen. "In the end, all you can do is tell the truth, hope that the evidence doesn't disagree. The truth doesn’t lie.
“Truth Lies Here • #CSIVegas is coming soon,” CBS captioned the video.
In addition to Petersen and Fox, Wallace Langham and Paul Guilfoyle will also reprise their roles of Detective David Hodges and Captain Jim Brass, respectively. New cast members include Paula Newsome, Matt Lauria, Mel Rodriguez and Mandeep Dhillon.
The original “CSI” premiered in 2000 and aired for 15 seasons before signing off in 2015. For ten of those years, it was the most watched drama series on television.

Other members of the main cast included Marg Helgenberger, Gary Dourdan, George Eads, and Eric Szmanda. It is unclear if any of them will reprise their roles or make cameos.

The series spawned three spinoffs: “CSI: Miami” (2002-2012); “CSI: New York” (2004-2013); and “CSI: Cyber” (2014-2016).
“CSI: Vegas” premieres Wednesday, October 6 at 10/9c on CBS.
