The Padres bounced back from a disappointing loss on Friday to beat the Rangers 6-4 in 10 innings. Walker Buehler was fantastic, allowing just one run while striking out 7 in 5.1 innings. Jake Burger's 2-run homer off of Jason Adam in the bottom of the 7th inning broke a 1-1 tie, but the Padres had more left in the tank. Manny Machado drove in a run in the 8th with a ground out to third base, and then Jackson Merrill tied the game with a single to right field. Samad Taylor led off the 10th inning with a walk, putting two runners on with no outs for Manny Machado, who ripped a 3-run homer to give the Padres a 6-3 lead, with Machado driving in 5 of the Padres 6 runs and hopefully give him momentum to break out of his season long funk. Mason Miller returned to the team after being away for personal reasons, and earned his 20th save of the season. The Padres will have an opportunity to win the series when they send Lucas Giolito to the mound on Sunday.
