AUSTIN (Talk1370.com) -- Austin Police are investigating a homicide on the city's north side Sunday morning.
Police were called to PINSTACK in the 500 block of Canyon Ridge Drive, near Interstate 35 and Parmer Lane just after 1:30 a.m. Sunday morning. According to police, the parking lot is a gathering place for a local car club.
According to witnesses, while members were gathering this morning, there was a disturbance that ended in an exchange of gunfire between a silver Corvette, a red Cadillac sedan, and a black sedan. All three of those vehicles left the scene, and have not been located as of Sunday morning.
Police say 20-year old Trevon Jaquis Mize-Ellison was at the scene in his own vehicle, and was apparently struck in the crossfire.
When police arrived at the scene, they found Mize-Ellison behind the steering wheel of his vehicle with trauma injuries. He was transported to Dell Seton Medical Center where he was pronounced deceased at 5:13 a.m.
Detectives are asking for anyone who might have video or further information to call the APD Homicide tip line at 512-974-8477 or Crime Stoppers at 512-472-8477.
