(SportsRadio 610) -- Seth Payne and Sean Pendergast discuss the Texans drafting two players who were projected to go higher in the NFL Draft.
Quarterback Davis Mills was thought by some coaches to be a steal. Yahoo Sports' Pete Thamel wrote over the weekend that the Texans found their Deshaun Watson replacement.
Yahoo talked to about 100 college coaches and assistants about players they were surprised to see dip in the draft.
Here's what they heard about Mills:
“I think he’s a steal. His game fits the NFL really well. With the offense they run, he really gets through his progressions. He’s decisive and has above-average ability to anticipate and hit windows. His game can translate quickly to a pocket passer.”
Tight end Brevin Jordan, who the Texans selected over the weekend in the fifth round, is another player who's name came up with Yahoo's conversations with coaches.
Jordan running after the catch absolutely sticks out, as former defensive lineman Seth Payne noted on the show.
Jordan was also the best available player on Day 3, according to Texans analyst John Harris.
"He looks like the modern George Kittle type of tight end who is just going to bull over safeties and cornerbacks when they're in his path," Payne said.

They also talked about Terry Bradshaw's comments about the Aaron Rodgers drama; look ahead to the 2022 NFL Draft with initial mock drafts already up, and more headlines.
