(HOUSTON) - Kenny Chesney postpones the first eleven dates of the 2020 Chillaxification Tour due to concerns of the Coronavirus.
“In times of uncertainty, I won’t take chances with those I love," said the 8-time ACM and CMA Entertainer of the Year. "I think it’s only fair to move these first several dates...I wanted to try to give everyone as much time to sort that out as possible.”
Chesney's road crew is like family to the country singer and he felt that he couldn't "...take the risks without really understanding the consequences."
“So, while we wait to see how this terrible virus is going to impact our country, I think it’s only fair to move these first several dates now," said Chesney. "We are figuring some of this out as we go."
The Chillaxification Tour was set to kick off at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, but it will now open at Heinz Field on May 30, 2020.
