Listen to Frito & Katy for your chance to win four tickets to Billy Currington

For the Billy Currington on air contest, listen weekdays between September 8, 2025 - September 9, 2025 and again between September 11, 2025 - September 12, 2025 between 6:00 AM CT and 10:00 AM CT for the cue to call. Upon hearing the cue to call, be the designated caller to get through to the contest line at 713-881-5500. The designated caller will then participate in one (1) of the following ten (10) games for their chance to win a prize. Game that is selected is at the discretion of the on-air talent:

HIT OR MISS

PLAYERS: 1+

Frito and Katy will take the designated caller at (713) 881-5500 and play a clip of a very popular song. The designated caller will then be asked whether that song was a verified #1 HIT or a MISS. Regardless of how the designated caller answers, a second (2nd) clip will be played. If the designated caller correctly identifies the second (2nd) song as a HIT or MISS, a third (3rd) clip will be played. If the designated caller gets the second (2nd) title wrong, a new designated caller will be selected and the game will continue as described above until a designated caller correctly identifies two (2) of the three (3) titles and is determined the winner. The three (3) song titles that are played will stay the same until a winner is determined.

5 IN 5

PLAYERS: 1+

Designated caller will have five (5) seconds to name five (5) items that fall within a given category. Can you beat the clock to score your tickets?

Frito & Katy take the designated caller at (713) 881-5500 and gives the designated caller a category from which the caller will be selecting things that fall into that category. (For example, if the category is "basketball," the designated caller could say "ball, hoop, net, etc...). The designated caller is then given five (5) seconds to name five (5) different things that would fall in that category. If the designated caller fails to give five (5) things before the buzzer ends, another designated caller will be selected to play the game as described above. The game will continue until a designated caller can name five (5) things in the five (5) seconds before the buzzer ends and is determined as the winner. Categories subject to change at the sole discretion of Frito & Katy at any time during gameplay.

KATY’S RECORDER RECITAL

PLAYERS: 1+

Frito & Katy take the designated caller at (713) 881-5500. Katy will then play to the best of her ability a clip from a known song on her recorder. The recital may be live or recorded and left to Frito & Katy’s discretion. The designated caller will be asked to identify the tune by either title or artist. If the designated caller is unable to do so, Frito & Katy will select another designated caller and play the game as described above again until a designated caller can correctly identify the title or artist and is determined the winner. There will only be one (1) featured song per game.

GAME THAT TUNE

PLAYERS: 1+

It may sound like a track from an 80s video game, but this clip is actually a popular country song. Name it and the artist to win!

Frito & Katy take the designated caller at (713) 881-5500 and play a clip of a popular country song that’s been altered to sound as if it came from an 80s/8-Bit video game. The designated caller must identify the song and the artist to win the game. If the designated caller does not know the necessary information, another designated caller will be selected and play the game as described above. This will continue until a designated caller can identify both the song and the artist and is determined the winner. There will only be one (1) featured song per game.

IS IT COUNTRY

PLAYERS: 1+

You can’t beat country music… and you can’t beat country song titles. Frito & Katy will give you three (3) - but what’s real and what’s yet to be written? Get all three (3) correct, and you win! Frito & Katy take the designated caller at (713) 881-5500. The designated caller is then given the name of a real country song or a name of a fake country song that Frito & Katy just made up. Regardless of how the designated caller answers, a second (2nd) title will be given. If the designated caller gets the second (2nd) title correct, a third (3rd) title will be given. If the designated caller gets the second (2nd) title wrong, a new designated caller will be selected and the game will continue as described above until a designated caller correctly identifies two (2) of the three (3) titles and is determined the winner. The three (3) titles will stay the same until a winner is determined.

LAST WORDS

PLAYERS: 1+

Where the music dies… and the guessing begins! Frito & Katy take the designated caller at (713) 881-5500 and recite the last five (5) words of a famous country song. The designated caller must then identify the title and artist of that song. If the designated caller is unable to do so, Frito & Katy will select another designated caller and play the game as described above until a designated caller can identify the title and artist and is determined the winner. There will only be one (1) featured song per game.

SECRET SONG

PLAYERS: 1+

Frito & Katy take the designated caller to (713) 881-5500. Frito & Katy then will play a clip of a heavily distorted country song and ask the designated caller to identify it by title or artist. If the designated caller is unable to correctly answer, Frito & Katy will selected a new designated caller. The clip is played again, and if the new designated caller can't guess the name or artist, one (1) more designated caller is selected to try. Up to three (3) contestants will be given a chance to guess per “round.” If a “round” concludes without the song being identified, a less distorted version of the clip will be played and a new designated caller will be selected. The game will continue with each subsequent “round” featuring a less distorted version of the original song until a designated caller is able to identify the song or artist and is determined the winner. There will only be one (1) featured song per game.

SECRET SOUND

PLAYERS: 1+

Frito & Katy take the designated caller to (713) 881-5500. Frito & Katy then

will play a clip of a random sound or series of sounds and ask the designated

caller to identify the source or sources of the noise. If the designated caller is

unable to correctly identify the sources or sources of the noise, Frito & Katy will select a new designated caller and play the game as described above until a designated caller can identify the secret sound and is determined the winner. There will only be one (1) featured sound or series of sounds per game.

THREE (3) SECOND SONG

PLAYERS: 1+

Frito & Katy take the designated caller at (713) 881-5500. The designated

caller is then given the first three (3) notes of a well-known country song and

asked to identify the song by title OR artist. Regardless of how the designated

caller answers, a second (2nd) clip of a different song’s first three (3) seconds

will be played and the player will be asked to identify its title OR artist. If the

designated caller gets the second (2nd) song correct after also successfully

identifying the first (1st), that player will be declared the winner and awarded

the prize. If the designated caller gets the second (2nd) song after incorrectly

identifying the first, a third (3rd) clip of a country song’s first three (3) seconds

will be provided. If the designated caller successfully guesses the title OR

artist of the third (3rd) song, he/she will be declared the winner and awarded

the prize. If the designated player gets the third (3rd) song wrong, a new

designated caller will be selected and the game will continue as described

above until a designated caller can correctly identify two (2) of the three (3)

songs based on just the first three (3) notes of each and declared the winner. 

The three (3) titles will stay the same until a winner is determined.

GUE IN THR (GUESS IN THREE)

PLAYERS: 1+

Frito & Katy take the designated caller at (713) 881-5500. The designated

caller is then given the first three (3) letters of each of the words in a movie or

tv show. Regardless of how the designated caller answers, a second (2nd)

title will be given by just providing the first three (3) letters of each word in the

title. If the designated caller gets the second (2nd) title correct, a third (3rd)

title will be given. If the designated caller gets the second (2nd) title wrong, a

new designated caller will be selected and the game will continue as

described above until a designated caller correctly identifies two (2) of the

three (3) titles based on just the first three (3) letters of each of the title’s

words and determined the winner. The three (3) titles will stay the same until a winner is determined.

SECRET SOUND

caller to identify the source or sources of the noise. If the designated caller is unable to correctly answer, Frito & Katy will select a new designated caller

and play the game as described above until a designated caller can identify the secret sound and declared the winner. There will only be one (1) featured sound or series of sounds per game.

The designated caller who is determined the winner of one of the selected games above will, upon verification of eligibility, receive: four (4) tickets to Billy Currington on September 27, 2025 at Sam Houston Race Park.
