Commuters on Highway 290 between Cypress and Houston are all too familiar with delays and over the last few years have got used to changes. This change is going to create a little bit of getting used to if I'm understanding it correctly.
The fast lane on 290 is now going to be HOV (2 or more passengers) on certain hours. According to local news sources, in the morning from 6a-9a, the innermost lanes will require at least two people in the vehicle while the evening commute from 3p-6p will be the innermost east bound lanes reserved for vehicles with two people or more.
The hope is that our congestion issues will be somewhat alleviated on 290 with this adjustment and our commutes may be smoother.
We can dream, right?!
