The Washington Commanders announced the signing of free-agent offensive lineman Trent Scott.
Scott, 29, spent last season with the Pittsburgh Steelers and in his six-year NFL career he has experience playing at both left and right tackle and at both right and left guard.
Scott played sparingly last season in Pittsburgh, with just 31 offensive snaps and 30 coming as an extra offensive lineman. During two seasons with the Carolina Panthers, he played 332 snaps at right guard in 2021 and 328 snaps at left tackle in 2020, per Pro Football Focus.
In nine games during his second season in the league, Scott played 555 snaps at left tackle and 269 snaps at right tackle with the Los Angles Chargers
He entered the league as an undrafted free agent in 2018 out of Grambling State. Scott has played in 61 games with 21 coming as a starter during his career.
