RAMS’ SEASON-OPENING TOURNAMENT AT TENNESSEE CANCELED
RICHMOND, Va. – The Volunteer Classic, where VCU was scheduled to kick off its 2020-21 season, has been canceled after multiple positive COVID-19 tests within the Tennessee program.
The Rams were set to open their season on Thanksgiving, Thursday, Nov. 26, at 7 p.m. against Charlotte at Thompson-Boling Arena in Knoxville, Tenn. The Rams were also slated to play the 12th-ranked Volunteers on Friday, Nov. 27. Tennessee has temporarily paused all team activities.
VCU is exploring alternative scheduling options.
As of Monday afternoon, VCU’s next scheduled game would be on Wednesday, Dec. 2 at Penn State.
