If Trent Brown is able to remain at or below 365 pounds during the regular season, he’s in line to collect a significant amount of incentives as part of his new two-year contract with the New England Patriots.

According to ESPN’s Mike Reiss, Brown has a weekly incentive in his deal that will pay him $25,000 for every Thursday that he weighs in at 365 or less during the season. The 28-year-old’s weight on Pro Football Reference is 380 pounds.

Even before he gets to the 2022 regular season, Brown has a chance to earn even larger incentives based off of his weight. Per Reiss, Brown’s contract also includes the following incentives; $150,000 if he’s 385 pounds or less on the first day of the offseason program; $75,000 if he’s 375 pounds or less on June 1; and $75,000 if he’s 365 pounds or less on June 15.

In total, Brown can collect an additional $725,000 – which is more than the rookie minimum salary –  if he hits all his incentives in 2022.

Brown’s new contract is for two years and $13 million, with $4 million guaranteed.
