After a season for the record books Furman University has extended the contract of Men's Basketball Coach Bob Richey. On Thursday, Furman Athletic Director Jason Donnelly announced Richey has signed an agreement to stay in place as the leader of Paladin Basketball.

Donelly said " Bob Richey and Furman Basketball have achieved unprecedented success we are excited that Bob and his family are remaining of the Furman family."

Richey has an overall record of 139-54 in six seasons at Furman. His .720 winning percentage ranks in the top 15 nationally among active coaches. Furman is just one of 7 programs nationwide to win 22 or more games in five of the last six seasons.
