One in-state college softball team won their regional over the weekend and another in-state team concluded their season with a heart breaking loss.

Auburn would get revenge in Sunday's 1st game winning 5-2 to force a second game. Clemson took game 2 5-1 on the strength of Pitcher Valerie Cagle. She went the distance allowing just one run on four hits and did not issue a walk.

South Carolina came up just short in the Tallahassee Regional. The Gamecocks beat Florida State 4-0 in game one on Sunday to force a winner-take-all 2nd game. FSU Pitcher Kathryn Sandercock threw a perfect game to beat South Carolina 1-0. The Gamecocks finish their season with a record of 40-22.

Clemson will move on to the Super Regionals, they'll travel to take on #1 Oklahoma in a best 2 of 3 series, that will get started Friday afternoon. "
