A capacity crowd was on hand over the weekend for the Pro Bull Riders Tour in Western North Carolina. A loud and spirited group packed the stands at the Tryon International Equestrian Center, Friday and Saturday night.
Keyshawn Whitehorse took the title in Tryon, with two successful rides Saturday night to rack up 173 points on the night which propelled him to victory after being bucked off and not scoring, round 1 Friday night.
Pennsylvania's Cody McCandless and Michael Lane from Virginia finished 2nd and 3rd, respectively. McCandless had two successful rides Saturday for a total of 163, Michael Lane had 87 points on the final night.
Western North Carolina native Dustin Herman finished 4th, he had one successful ride Saturday for 85.5 points. Herman led after the 1st round Friday night.
The PBR Challenger Series will stay in the Tar Heel State for their next event, as well. They'll ride into Archdale (about 20 miles SW of Greensboro) for a two-night event, this Friday and Saturday.
