North Carolina's All Stars cruised to win over South Caroline in this year's Shrine Bowl of the Carolinas, over the weekend. The 88th Annual All-Star Football Game was held Saturday at Viking Stadium in Spartanburg.

Team North Carolina got a 49-24 win over the South Carolina squad. 11 South Carolina Gamecock signees were selected to play in the game. Some of them sat out due to early enrollment at SC.

Future Gamecock LB and North Carolina Native Donovan Darden made an interception and returned it nearly 50 yards for a TD. That play effectively put the game away late in the 3rd quarter, as NC went up 35-10.

Notable Upstate players selected for the Shrine Bowl include Gamecock signees Shed Surratt an Offensive Lineman from Gaffney, Abbeville DB Demarcus Leach and Kentucky TE signee Mikkel Skinner from Riverside.
