An Upstate college basketball program has caused its own version of madness in March and is now one win away from National Championship gold.
Lander Men's Basketball is on a historic run this season. The Bearcat program has made its 1st ever NCAA DII Final Four and will play for their 1st ever DII National Title this weekend. Lander has won 30 games now, they downed Lincoln Memorial, Columbus State and Lenoir-Rhyne to win the Anderson Regional.
Lander then rattled off two straight wins in Pittsburgh. The latest was an upset of top ranked Nova Southeastern, 91-81. The Bearcats had five players in double figures, Junior Guard Grayson Pritzl led the way with 25 points on 5 of 10 shooting from three point range.
Lander will take on Gannon University for the DII National Title, Sunday afternoon.
