Over 2 dozen Upstate HS football players have been selected to play in the Touchstone Energy Cooperatives North/South All Star Game. Typically and this year, the North/South selects players who were not selected for the Shrine Bowl. The selections are also reserved for Seniors. The Upstate players selected will represent the North against the South or Low Country area. Players from Midlands schools are divided between the two. The players from the Upstate that have been selected are as follows.
Powdersville WR Drake Sloan and LB Peyton Little. Gaffney QB Grayson Loftis, who in my mind was a Shrine Bowl snub. His teammate and Indian DB Kaliber Hoey was also selected. Daniel's super productive WR Eli Merck has been selected along with Greenwood RB Ve Morton.
The Hillcrest duo of QB Bennett Judy and DL/ Long Snapper Jeb Robinson. Abbeville LB Ty Cade and Panthers Kicker Addison Nickles are on the North squad. Dorman DB Will White his teammate and Cavs O-lineman Graham Smith, McCormick RB A'Chean Durant , Greer DB Alston Mcgee and Emerald D-End Jaylen Foster all got the nod.
Westside D-Lineman Hunter Puckett , Wren DB/RB Travon West, Travelers Rest O-Lineman Lawton Clamp, Seneca O-Lineman Cam Johnson all were selected.
Spartanburg D-Lineman Cam Jackson, Clinton DL Hezekiah Kinard, BHP O-Lineman Cameron Darby, Byrnes WR Kyai Cook, Laurens WR Cayson Elledge, and Christ Church WR B.J. Atkins round out the players selected from school's in our coverage area.
The Touchstone Energy Cooperatives North vs South All Star Game is December 10th in Myrtle Beach.
