Half a dozen players from colleges across the Carolinas will be on display in the Super Bowl this weekend.
Clemson has a trio of players that are set to appear as Kansas City takes on Philadelphia, as the Chiefs look for a three-peat. The Upstate's own Nuk Hopkins is a receiver for Kansas City.
The Pickens County native starred at Daniel High and Clemson before moving on to the NFL. Charlotte area native Will Shipley was a standout at Clemson. He had a tremendous performance in the NFC Title Game, as the #2 Running Back for the Eagles. Former Clemson All-American LB Jeremiah Trotter Jr. is also with Philadelphia.
The Chiefs have a trio of players from colleges across North Carolina. They include Duke alumnus Noah Gray at Tight End, former NC State standout Joe Thuney on the O-line and Fayetteville State product Josh Williams at DB.
The Super Bowl is set to kickoff Sunday night at 630 Eastern from New Orleans.
