Bears safety Eddie Jackson

LAKE FOREST, Ill. (670 The Score) -- Bears safety Eddie Jackson is officially listed as questionable to play against the Eagles in a wild-card game at Soldier Field on Sunday afternoon, when his status will be a game-time decision, coach Matt Nagy said.

As he looks to return from a right ankle sprain, Jackson practiced Friday in limited fashion for a second straight day. The Bears have been exercising caution with him after he suffered his injury in a win on Dec. 16, which caused him to miss the last two games.

The Bears are "cautiously optimistic" that Jackson can be play, Nagy said. He could go at less than 100 percent, but they'll have to be "smart" about the situation, Nagy added. Jackson didn't practice Wednesday, as the training staff opted to hold him out of work, before returning in the limited role at practice Thursday and in the walk-through Friday.

Jackson has six interceptions this season and was selected to the AP All-Pro team Friday. He declined to speak with reporters about his status for Sunday.

Receiver Allen Robinson (ribs), receiver Taylor Gabriel (ribs), receiver Anthony Miller (left shoulder) and guard Kyle Long (rest) each practiced Friday and weren't listed on the game status injury report. Of that group, only Long missed a day of practice this week, sitting out Thursday just days after returning from injured reserve.

Outside linebacker Aaron Lynch didn't practice again Friday while still mending his sprained right elbow. He has been ruled doubtful for Sunday. Lynch has missed the team's last two games with the injury and didn't travel to either San Francisco or Minnesota. Reserve safety DeAndre Houston-Carson (ribs) is questionable to play.

The Bears (12-4) and Eagles (9-7) kick off at 3:40 p.m. CT Sunday from Soldier Field. The game can be heard on WBBM Newsradio 780. Pregame coverage on 670 The Score begins at noon.
