David Haugh (7-1): Steelers 23, Bears 16
Give me a reason to pick the Bears. Somebody? Anybody? Welcome to a matchup between two teams headed in opposite directions, and the Bears' inability to stop the run and rush the passer unfortunately outweighs any progress made by Justin Fields.
Leila Rahimi (7-1): Steelers 21, Bears 18
To the tune of "Heavy Action," the Monday Night Football theme…
There is very
little offense from these two teams
But we still watch with our hope
Because it's Monday night
And Justin Fields is here!
Turn out the lights
The party's over
All good drives will
Come to an end
Most of them with punts
The points are nowhere
Except on other team's scoreboards at their games' end
Danny Parkins (5-3): Bears 13, Steelers 9
The Bears win in one of the ugliest football games ever played.
Herb Lawrence (5-3): Bears 27, Steelers 26
This looks like it should be a clear Steelers victory as they're at home and coming off a big divisional win, but I'm not picking them. I saw something special from Fields last week, and I think this primetime game is the perfect opportunity to reintroduce himself to the NFL audience.
Les Grobstein (7-1): Steelers 25, Bears 13
The Bears have Fields playing strong, but the Steelers are on a three-game winning streak and are tough to run the ball against. The Steelers play poorly against the Bears in Chicago (their only win was in 1995, not counting wins against the Chicago Cardinals), but this one is in Pittsburgh. I must pick the Steelers.
Adam Studzinski (4-4): Steelers 27, Bears 16
Ben Roethlisberger is largely washed, but the Bears could be without Khalil Mack and Eddie Jackson this week. Despite his inability to tackle, Jackson is pretty good in coverage and allows the Bears to run more complex schemes. Without him and Mack last Sunday, we saw what a disaster this defense is. That plus the fact the Steelers' defense will likely stifle the Bears' offense means Pittsburgh probably wins this with ease. As I've said before though, none of that matters. This whole season is solely about Fields progressing. Hopefully we see more of what he did against the 49ers.
Chris Emma (6-2): Steelers 23, Bears 16
Matt Nagy believes a win could change the Bears' fortunes this season, and he may be right. But it won't come in Pittsburgh. The Steelers' defense will pressure Fields throughout, and Big Ben Roethlisberger will pull his team through for a win.
Cam Ellis (6-2): Steelers 26, Bears 20
I'm not sure that the Steelers are good, but I *am* sure that the Bears aren't. I also deeply believe in the weird trend of Nagy teams throwing up clunkers on nationally televised games that are 1) not on Thursday night and 2) not at Soldier Field. Who's excited for an entire day of tWo HiStOrIc FrAnChIsEs lead-up?!?!
Jay Zawaski (3-5): Steelers 27, Bears 23
The Bears are 6.5-point dogs and always seem to find a way to look bad on national television. I believe Fields has another strong game, but the banged-up Chicago defense won't be able to hand on, just like last week.
