(670 The Score) The Blackhawks have hired Derek Plante as an assistant on coach Luke Richardson's staff, they announced Monday morning.
Plante, 51, worked for the Blackhawks as a player development coach from 2015-'20. He was the associate head coach at the University of Minnesota-Duluth this past season.
Plante had an eight-year NHL career, including a stop in Chicago in 2000.
