(670 The Score) The Cubs have acquired minor league infielder Esteban Quiroz from the Rays in exchange for outfielder Harold Ramirez, they announced Friday evening.
Quiroz, 30, he .268 with 12 homers, 48 RBIs and a .927 OPS in 68 games at the Triple-A level in 2021. He has predominantly played second base in his minor league career, which also included stops in the Red Sox (2018) and Padres (2019) organizations. He has also played shortstop, third base and all three outfield positions. He has never appeared in an MLB game.
Ramirez, 27, was acquired by the Cubs from the Guardians in November. He hit .268 with a .703 OPS in 99 games for Cleveland in 2021.
