Hours before now-former Michigan center Hunter Dickinson chose Kansas as his transfer destination, Maryland was heavily in the mix for him – and John Fanta, who works covers college hoops for FOX and Field of 68 Media, joined the Junkies to discuss Dickinson's future and how that affects Juwan Howard's future in Ann Arbor, as well as the transfer portal in general and how the NIL movement is affecting things.
Fanta also weighed in on Georgetown's hire of Ed Cooley, and, well, it seems like he's a fan: "It's a grand slam hire for Georgetown, a hire they were starving for, because they needed someone like this. There's no one like Ed Cooley in college basketball; he's a different level of energy, and is not afraid to tell it like it is, and he took Providence to the NCAA Tournament year in and year out after he took over. It's a different vibe that will bring people back to Georgetown basketball games, and they had to get someone like that."
