One of the craziest moments in NFL Draft history is now becoming an NFT.
Laremy Tunsil’s infamous gas mask video, which surfaced on his hacked social media account minutes before the 2016 draft and caused him to slide to the 13th pick, is now being sold as an NFT by the offensive lineman himself.

Tunsil, whose draft stock plummeted due to the video before being taken by the Miami Dolphins with the 13th pick, announced on Wednesday that the NFL minted on Foundation.app will be listed at an undisclosed time with a portion of the proceeds benefitting The Last Prisoner Project, a cannabis criminal justice reform charity.
The 27-year-old offensive lineman, who has played for the Houston Texans since 2019, has previously spoken out about his desire to move on from the incident.
“To this day, I still play with the anger, because I have to prove myself, because I feel like I’m not getting the accolades I deserve because of the gas mask,” Tunsil told Complex.com last year. “When is this shit going to be over with? I wish you would’ve seen under my suit I was sweating so bad. I really kept my poise, but inside I was really fucked up. I just wanted to get to a space with my family and friends and just unwind because that was a lot that night. That was a lot.”
While the video scared off some teams from drafting him, projected to be a top-five pick, Tunsil has had a successful career thus far, earning his way to two Pro Bowls with the Texans and establishing himself as one of the better left tackles in the league.
