The free agency period is officially upon us in the NFL, with the legal tampering period opening on Monday afternoon.

And so far, the Washington Commanders have strengthened their team nad struck a blow by weakening division-rival Dallas Cowboys.

According to reports, the Commanders are signing former Cowboys defensive end Dorance Armstrong joining up with former defensive coordinator, Dan Quinn.

Originally a fourth-round pick by Dallas in the 2018 NFL Draft, Armstrong had an up-and-down career with the Cowboys, over the last six seasons, but really came on over the last three.

Since 2021, Armstrong has amassed 21 sacks, 20 tackles for loss, 40 quarterback hits and 108 total tackles.

In 17 games during the 2023 season, the 26-year-old had 38 tackles (20 solo) with 7.5 sacks, seven tackles for loss and 12 QB hits.
