Fred Smoot joined Kevin Sheehan to talk about the Washington Commanders 2-0 start to the season and praised second-year quarterback Sam Howell for his play during the early parts of the season, especially for his performance in the Commanders 35-33 comeback win over the Denver Broncos on Sunday.

"Well, I told you this is what I felt this team was gonna be," Smoot told Sheehan. "I said we were gonna see a young, growing quarterback who can make every throw. And he's a sneaky, better athlete than most people give him credit for and he has the emotion... that's the great thing about it, he don't get too high when he succeeds, he don't get too low when he fails. And this guy is an elephant that remembers nothing. And I love that about it him and it is resonating with the team."

And that is just how the conversation kicks off! The entire segment is worth your time and can be heard on the audio player above.
